Soroptimist International Brisbane City Members would like to invite you and your friends to join us for an inspiring Breakfast with Ray Tyndale Author of Farmwoman.
Farmwoman is a moving portrait of the life of a contemporary Australian farmwoman struggling to find her voice and strength in a male-dominated field. Information drawn from hundreds of interviews with country women is conveyed through this finely wrought novel. It is an intimate and inspiring story of the everyday yet extraordinary life of a woman who has spent a lifetime on farms – sharing the experiences many of the trials and joys of a fulfilled Australian farmwoman: a love of the land and her children; a battle with ill-health; the pleasure of singing and of dairying and the lack of security on the farm.
